Who I am and what I do
Inventor ยท Builder ยท Cross-Domain Engineer
My career sits at the intersection of deep technical invention and product impact at scale. I build things that ship โ from signal-processing algorithms running in mainstream consumer electronics, to covert security hardware used by red teams worldwide, to deterministic trading-system infrastructure processing real market flow.
I built monaural blind audio source separation technology that made its way into major smartphone lines and noise-canceling headphones. I co-founded Cypher with Clayton Carr to push that signal-processing vision into real-world products โ voice-isolation technology that suppresses unwanted noise while preserving the desired signal, with validated performance up to 17x background noise reduction. The same core work also connects to the music-production world through Melodyne, making it one of those rare projects that crosses consumer electronics, speech intelligence, and creative tools. Cirrus Logic acquired Cypher in 2017.
My current work on the O.MG Cable shows another side of my range: offensive security hardware and real-world red-team tooling. As a principal software developer at Mischief Gadgets, I work on covert USB-based security devices with Wi-Fi control, payload automation, keylogging capacity, and advanced features like geofencing and stealth modes. These are products that are both technically sophisticated and culturally visible, with broad press coverage from DEF CON to mainstream tech outlets.
My systems and trading work gives my profile uncommon breadth. At DV Trading, I built deterministic market replay infrastructure โ nicknamed the "Mock CME" โ with gating for decision quality, latency, and PnL comparison, along with FPGA deployment workflows. At Aprimo, I led large-scale cloud modernization with multi-tenant architecture and automation-heavy delivery that drove major annual hosting-cost reductions.
I also blend advanced engineering with experiential product design. My work on Alien: Isolation integrated Kinect-based biometric and environmental signals into gameplay pacing โ the alien could hear you breathe, and your physical movement controlled the camera. This site itself continues that thread: intentional interaction design, 3D physics-driven interfaces, and production-ready execution rather than just prototypes.
Across startup founding, signal-processing R&D, security products, HFT systems, cloud architecture, and design-forward web execution, I consistently translate complex ideas into shipped systems that people actually use. That combination of invention, delivery discipline, and cross-domain credibility is what defines my work.

FAQ and knowledge base
Answers for current clients, active builds, and post-launch support.
Share a short brief with goals, audience, and constraints. From there we schedule a discovery call, align on scope, then move into a phased plan with clear milestones.
Most focused builds run 2 to 6 weeks. Larger product or platform work can run longer depending on dependencies, integrations, and review cycles.
Yes. Typical stack work includes TypeScript, React or Next.js, Node, and custom WebGL layers. I can adapt to existing patterns or establish a cleaner architecture when needed.
Support can include bug fixes, quality and performance tuning, analytics checks, dependency updates, and iterative feature releases as priorities evolve.
Work is delivered in short iterations with structured review checkpoints. Feedback is captured, prioritized, and rolled into the next pass so progress stays visible and controlled.
